COLOR CHANGE VINYL

NEW COLOR.ORIGINAL PAINT.

3M vinyl over your factory finish. Reversible, and it protects what's underneath.

WHY VINYLBEATS A REPAINT.

A repaint is permanent and it shows up on the car's history. Vinyl is a film that sits on top of the paint you already paid for — and comes back off.

Color Change Vinyl

  • Reversible — back to factory color whenever you want
  • Protects the original paint from rock chips and sun
  • Finishes paint can't do: satin, matte, chrome, color shift
  • Doesn't touch the factory finish, so resale stays clean
  • Days, not weeks

Repaint

  • Permanent — going back means painting again
  • Sanding and prep remove the original finish
  • Shows up when a buyer checks the car over
  • Overspray and colour-match risk on adjacent panels
  • Weeks in the shop

QUESTIONS?ANSWERED.

Does it damage my paint?

No — on factory paint in good condition it actually protects it. The film shields the finish underneath from rock chips and UV. Where it can go wrong is on a car that's already been repainted with cheap work: if the paint is lifting or poorly cured, removing vinyl later can pull at it. We check the paint before we quote and we tell you straight if your car is one of those cases.

How long does it last?

Five to seven years on a car that lives in Florida sun, longer if it's garaged. Horizontal panels — hood and roof — take the worst of it and age first. That's normal for any film, and those panels can be redone on their own without doing the whole car again.

Can I take it off?

Yes, and that's the point. It comes off with heat and patience, and the factory colour is right there underneath. Done at the right time it leaves nothing behind. Left on far past its life in the sun it gets harder to remove — so don't wait until it's falling apart.

How long is my car in the shop?

Two to four days for a full colour change. It's not the wrapping that takes the time — it's the disassembly. Handles, mirrors, lights and trim come off so the film wraps into the edges instead of stopping at them. That's the difference between a wrap that lasts and one that starts peeling at the corners.

Can you wrap just part of it?

Yes. Roof only, hood only, mirrors, accents, chrome delete. A lot of people start with a roof or a set of accents to see how they like it before committing to the whole car.

Who actually does the work?

A 3M Preferred Installer, in our shop in Orlando. Not subcontracted out to whoever is free that week. If something isn't right, you come back here and we fix it.
